iBurn, iWin, iPad, iTried

Del Monte Fit n’ Right‘s new promo had me purchased a couple Fit n’ Rights for two days but it wasn’t enough for me to win an iPad. I didn’t know an entry you send will only be valid for that day.  No hard feelings, drinking Del Monte Fit n’ Right will still be a part of weight loss tips i give to my friends.

Shop and Share

It’s been almost a year when Filipino celebrties Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis launched their online auction site Shop and Share to help victims of Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.   I just their website a few minutes back thinking that it may not be available because a year had already passed.  I was wrong.   It’s still up and running and more and more celebrities are donating their items for auction to help the typhoon victims.

I love it when rich people gives back or helps the less fortunate.  Bill Gates of Microsoft and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook are setting good examples to all the Billionaires out there. Billions of dollars is a lot of money to keep to yourself.  In the Philippines, were corruption is a requirement when you enter politics, millionaires, mostly politicians, steal form the poor.  It’s a hopeless case.  I don’t think any president can change this.

Aringay, La Union for Kraft’s Keso de Gallo

Kraft Eden’s Keso de Gallo is back to once again bring the warmest and tastiest Yuletide tidings to everyone. Last year they went to nine churches from nine different cities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and carefully selected nine Filipino recipes served at the Misa de Gallo, and they called it Keso de Gallo.

This year, they’re making it even more special by inviting a hundred towns to participate in this season of giving and merrymaking. With 100 towns participating, 100 unique dishes will be showcased for 100 days to underscore the festive celebration of the season here in the Philippines. Being the world’s first longest Christmas celebration, this event pushes food tourism to a whole new level.

My Nominee:

Aringay, La Union

Home of the two historical figures during the Spanish Revolution– Diego and Gabriela Silang and legendary beauty queen and first Filipina Ms. Universe–Ms. Gloria Diaz, the town of Aringay has a lot more to offer than housing big names. Modern outdoors activities like mountain trekking or hiking following the path of Aringay River is a popular must-do in this side of La Union. Aringay also boasts of beautiful beaches perfect for surfing and skimboarding. So once you get tired and hungry, they still have you covered with their healthy and hearty Cheesy Tofu, String beans and Peanuts.

Ocracoke Island

Ocracoke is not an Ocra(a Filipino term for the lady finger vegetable) and Coke. Ocracoke is an Island and it has one of the most expensive options along the Outer Banks.  Good thing that Ocracoke foreclosures offers Soundfront Cottage – 2 Horse Barn – Rich Paddock for a whopping $775,000. It’s 10 Acres with a Barn and Cottage.  For the price that high you can only imagine how much the price will be.  Suitable rich people like Mikee Arroyo.

Cart Wheels

Food cart business has been a trend for people who wanted to start a business but has very limited budget.  The Filipino Franchise Show showcased a lot of business opportunities and most of them are on the food cart industry.  There’s shawarmas, pearl shakes, local delicacies, sandwiches and even full meals on a cart.  Medical carts are still  yet to be ventured.

The Joys of Mobile Technology

Another news of a lost gadget found using gps tracker was reported in the US. Curtis Codgill had accidentally left his iPad in an airport.  Instead of panicking Curtis took out his iPod Touch and used MobileMe application to track the location of his iPad.  He was able to pinpoint the exact location of the iPad.  Talk about Global Positioning System. The MobileMe application showed that his iPad was at the airport where he left it.  After a while the iPad started to travel and was tracked at an airport employee’s home.  He quickly notified the airport authorities.  The iPad was shipped back to him when the airport authorities informed the police.

I wonder if it’ll turn out the same way if it happens here in the Philippines?

Are Your Investments Protected?

It’s now almost a year when our country was struck by typhoon Ondoy.  Have you upgraded you auto insurance coverage and asked for additional coverage?  Weather conditions are getting overly destructive nowadays and an “acts of God” or “acts of nature” coverage will be  great investment for it will reimburse charges for the repair or replacement of their cars depending on the policy.  Stop thinking that it’s not likely to happen again and protect your investments.

Does Diet Pills Actually Work?

I’ll never know unless I try.  Most of us are hesitant to try diet pills because we fear that it may not work or side effects may occur in the future.  There are a lot of websites giving reviews and testimonials from users. One website I came across with is http://www.dietpillsthatactuallywork.org. The help features a lot of useful articles if you ever decide to take diet pills.

Christmas Cards

Nobody gives Christmas Cards anymore.  I remember the days when you get Christmas cards in the mail from a relative or a friend overseas or in the province.  In fact, nobody gives greeting cards anymore.  Everything is now transmitted electronically.  How about the singing telegram, does it still exist?  This Christmas, I was to receive a Christmas Card from someone far away, doesn’t matter who it cam from as long it’s someone I know and as long as it’s not one of those recycled Christmas cards.  Cards that was already given to them by someone else and now passed on to another recipient and you won’t notice because the greeting was not personalized.  Somebody send me a Christmas Card.

Website Directory

Submitting your blog or website to a website directory is one major, major ( I just have to say that) step in getting your blog or website indexed. Submitting it to Technorati, Google, Sumble Upon, Digg, Bing and Yahoo! will help you get your blog or website indexed quickly.  I haven’t tried it yet.  I’m not an SEO type of blogger.  I may, when I learn about it, but not now.
