There’s a rumor that the reality TV show The Biggest Loser will have a Pinoy version. ABS-CBN is said to be the network to do it. From Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoy Fear Factor and Pilipinas Got Talent we will now have The Biggest Loser – Pinoy Edition which is to be hosted by non other than Sharon Cuneta. I hope they choose very heavy contestants those that even fast weight loss pills can’t help.

Jennifer’s Transformation
I just saw Jennifer Hudson on the news today and I was amazed at how fast she lost weight. It was a like a transformation form an Oprah Winfrey to a Scarlett Johanson. A former American Idol finalist to an Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for the film Deamgirls with Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Fox. Born on the same day that I was, September 12, 1981; I hope she shares with me what the most powerful fat burner is and transform myself in to a Jacob-ish body.

Congratulations to all the winners!
Influential Blogger Awards Night
Influential Winners will be announce later today, September 15, 2010 Wednesday 6 pm to 11 pm at Le Bistro Vert, Fraser Place, Valero Street, Makati City. Among the blogs I nominated I have a good feeling than at least half of them will take home the recognition. 10 bloggers will also be taking home (paypal transfer) $100 each which will be raffled after the awarding. There will also be a few prizes to be raffled during the event, no they’re not giving away Kohler kitchen sinks.
I’m expecting to win an award. But I wish I can take home a prize. Wish me luck.
A Post of Gratitude
I’ve been busy for the past few days because of a new blessing that came in to our family. My wife gave birth to our daughter. We now have a boy and a girl. I am very appreciative on how she was handled by the hospital staff, nurses and her doctor. I really believe that Filipinos are the most suitable for healthcare jobs because we have the love, patience and care that health care organization needs. Again, thanks everyone.
Despicable Me – A Short Review
The world’s greatest villain meest the world’s most adorable girls. It’s like Mojo JoJo and the Powerpuff Girls without their powers. A villain’s journey to fatherhood.
The story is about Gru, a villain wanting to commit the crime of the century and compete with a new comer – Vector. Unable to match Vector’s technologically advance security and high-tech weaponry, Gru sought the aid of 3 adorable orphans to help him with his mission.
It’s a movie worth watching in 3D with your kids. ”It’s so Funny I’m gonna die!” is probably how Agnes would describe her own movie. Agnes made me more excited about seeing my soon to be baby girl.

No More Drama, Please
I’ve had it with Telenovelas! Where are the sitcoms? I want to see Tagalog sitcoms back in to Philippine television. I can no longer take 4-5 hrs of telenovelas a day. There’s already a lot of drama out there, why make more? To give you of an idea of what we GMA and ABS-CBN what I’m ranting about, here is their program guide:
Morning News – Talk Shows – Noon Time Shows – Afternoon Drama – Afternoon Drama – Game Show – Primetime Dramas – News – Primetime Dramas – Primetime Dramas – Primetime Dramas – Primetime Dramas – News
Gone are the days when you can sit relax and get entertained by sitcoms after a long and tiring day at work. I miss how they make fun of current social issues and get away with. I miss how it teaches kids moral lessons and still be funny. How I miss sitcoms like:
- Palibhasa Lalake
- Abangan Ang Susunod Na Kabanata
- Okay Ka Fairy Ko
- Buddy n’ Sol
- Oki Doki Doc
- Home Along Da Riles
- Kaya ni Mister, Kaya ni Misis
- Ober Da Bakod
- John and Marsha
- Cool Ka Lang
- Chicks to Chicks
- Lagot Ka Isusumbong Kita
Sitcoms slowly faded. They tried to keep it. I tried to watch it even it was late at night, the only time slot they have allotted for a sitcom. It was one sitcom a week shown late at night and eventually removed. I’ll leave you guys with the lyrics from the Soap O Pera by Itchyworms.
Wala ka nang pera sa daliri
di makanood ng sine
wala na bang ibang magagawa
wala na ring matatawagan
nood na lang ng TV mag-isa
ang sagwa naman ng mga Soap Opera
pare-pareho lang ang storyline nila
Ang magulang di alam kung sino
maging sila kaya sa dulo?
ang tagapagsalba’y namamatay
sisisihin na naman ang bida
makakaaway ang querida
ang kala mo patay mabubuhay
nakatitig ako na para nang tuod
‘pagkat wala namang ibang mapanood
Sana, ay may pera na ko
at makikita nyo ang mga yan
isa-isa kong pabayaran
upang pagbutihin nila (ang)
paggawa ng programa
nang matuwa ang mga walang magawa
Katulad nila na walang pera
kung dati ay chicanong drama
ngayon naman ay chinovela
ang susunod ba’y Iraqi opera?
eto namang nakikiuso
kahit may bayad o wala
Happy Birthday Blogger!
August 31, 2010; Bloggers from Manila gathered and celebrated Blogger Fiesta – Blogger’s 11th year anniversary at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street. The event was organized by none other than rockstar blogger couple Mommy Lace and Azrael, sponsored by Geiser Maclang, Fully Booked, Jollibee, Greenwich and Krispy Kreme.
There are around 85 bloggers who attended the event and everyone was friendly and approachable. I was able to see familiar faces, and made new friends.
Event Speakers Jonel Uy, Fitz Villafuerte and Jomar Hilario shared their Internet Marketing Secrets. I’ve heard and read a lot of Internet Marketing Secrets but what I heard from the speakers are all new to me. I’m glad I was able to attend the event.
The event not only celebrates Bloggers anniversary but also to celebrate the unity of Manila bloggers. I, myself have experienced the kindness and willingness to help of fellow bloggers and I’m very thankful to have met them. Let’s continue spreading the blogger love, “Blove”.
