Yoga For Life: Oneness Through Wellness

In celebration of the 29th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, HIV advocacy group Yoga for Life will unite the city in an open-for-all yoga practice at the Quezon Memorial Circle on May 20, 2012, 4 p.m. during the “Oneness Through Wellness” event. Yoga teachers will guide the public in the mass yoga practice as volunteers educate attendees about HIV and AIDS.

We are very grateful to have generated support from different groups like the Local Government of Quezon City, The Love Yourself Project, Take The Test, Youth AIDS Filipinas Alliance, beyondyoga, Bliss Yoga Manila, and ECHOyoga.

Registration starts at 3PM and the event starts at 4PM sharp.

Manila International Auto Show 2012

The 17^th World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) once again proved to be a success. Over 152,000 visitors flocked to the World Trade Center Metro Manila and experienced 30,000 sq. m. of booths and exhibits from local and international industry players.

“WORLDBEX leads the future of the construction industry in the Philippines by providing an avenue where local suppliers can showcase their products globally and likewise giving Filipinos an opportunity to see what the international market has to offer,” says Joseph Ang, founding chair of Worldbex Services International (WSI).

WSI, however, is just getting started. From one world-class expo to another, car enthusiasts will once again race to the World Trade Center from March 29 to April 1, 2012, 10am to 10pm, for the highly anticipated 8^th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). With the theme “Motorsports”, MIAS 2012 turns the spotlight on “Life in the Fast Lane” and the current trend of developing new and updated models of sports cars by different car brands, all designed to outride the competition.

The iButterfly, an Augmented Reality Application based technology, that will be first introduced by SM Supermalls in the Philippines will be officially launched on April 8, 2012 across all Cyberzone branches. It will be the start of SM Cyberzone’s exciting summer campaign.

To give you an overview, the iButterfly is a fun and entertaining mobile information and couponing platform that tasks its users with catching augmented reality butterflies , each representing one or more coupons. It was previously created by Japan’s Mobile Art Lab and has been successfully launched in Japan, Hongkong, Indonesia, and Singapore. The iButterfly uses 3 technologies: Augmented Reality for seeing butterflies in the real world, Motion Sensors for catching butterflies using a phone and Global Positioning System (GPS) for finding butterflies at a location. It is definitely a unique and engaging way to enjoy promos and discounts with your tablet and smartphone with the Android platform, and IOS on Easter.

Electrolux Design Lab’s 10^th Anniversary challenge to international design students is tied to Electrolux professional heritage in a theme that stimulates all senses.

Electrolux Design Lab is a global annual design competition inviting students and recent graduates of industrial design to compete for a six-month paid internship and prize money by submitting ideas that develop the sensory experience of home appliances. This year the jury will also take special note of the aesthetic qualities of the concept and the way textures and surface materials have been used.

Pimples, whiteheads, oiliness, enlarged pores, impurities and unevenness – everyone has experienced it. Even model and TV host Georgina Wilson had her share of emergency pimple moments too. Yes people, she may look like a goddess but she’s human too.

“Growing up, I would always get a huge pimple because my skin is dry. I felt so embarrassed when I used to put toothpaste over it because I thought it would dry out the pimple,” shared Georgina Wilson, as she talked about her experiences as a young woman. This ‘it’ girl, like you, has also experienced skin problems. However, she believes that with the available skin care options today, we can win against skin problems like pimples. She stated, “This is not a solitary struggle. Everyone has gone through it. And there are things you can do. You can help yourself, especially in taking care of your skin.”
