World renowned furniture designer helps develop future designers of contemporary furniture. Kenneth Cobonpue was known for designing furniture for famous celebrities like Brad Pitt and had won numerous awards in furniture design. He took up Business Administration at the University of the Philippines and decided to take Fine Arts but failed the exam. It didn’t stop his dream of becoming a designer. He took art courses in Cebu and Industrial Design in NY.
“Always try to do something that’s never been done before. The world doesn’t need another chair, there’s enough out there. Your contribution has to be something unique”.
I hope he inspires all other Filipinos to influence and contribute in developing Filipino talent.
