He started off as an Internet sensation but by the time his first single “Hey Daydreamer” went on radio, there was no stopping Rez Toledo also known as Somedaydream from winning the hearts of a bigger audience. The massive radio airplay also translated into more votes as his music video was released on MYX. Seeing his talent and a refreshing change in the OPM scene, it landed him a spot as one of the performers of the 2011 MYX Music Awards where people finally saw him perform live. Though it is not the usual sound you will hear on OPM today, fans embraced him. So when he followed it up with his second single “Delivery Boys”, his name has been a prominent one especially to teens and students. The result: Somedaydream became the first OPM electronic act to hit big on the mainstream.

We were able to visit the snow village two weeks ago and didn’t notice it. We just saw a lot of people having their pictures taken inside the village dens and so we took photos too.

Platinum Prince of Soul JayR’s Christmas album Holiday of Love may be one of the projects closest to the singer’s heart. Aside from admitting that he is certainly a “Christmas person,” this album features how gifted he is not only as a singer, but also a musician and a music producer.

Holiday of Love was produced by JayR himself for his own Homeworkz label, and distributed by Universal Records.

“This album is very special to me, and I am very proud of it,” says JayR. “I hope everyone grabs a copy. I hope you’ll let me be a part of your Holiday of Love.”

Filipino music icon Noel Cabangon is extremely humble, but his music touches the core of many. With a number of record awards under his belt, he is undeniably one of the bestselling music acts in the country today.

On the December 2 and 3 at the Music Museum, Noel is headlining his solo concert billed Simpleng Musikero.

The concert will celebrate Noel’s love for his music. He will perform his hits from his hit albums Byahe and Panaginip, and some memorable songs.

With Bob Aves as musical director, Noel assures everyone that he’ll perform numbers that he doesn’t usually do. “It will be a musical experience,” adds Noel. “Music and OPM fans are in for a treat.”

Noel will have Diamond Soul Siren Nina, Ebe Dancel and Baihanna as guests.
