Shop and Share

It’s been almost a year when Filipino celebrties Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis launched their online auction site Shop and Share to help victims of Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.   I just their website a few minutes back thinking that it may not be available because a year had already passed.  I was wrong.   It’s still up and running and more and more celebrities are donating their items for auction to help the typhoon victims.

I love it when rich people gives back or helps the less fortunate.  Bill Gates of Microsoft and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook are setting good examples to all the Billionaires out there. Billions of dollars is a lot of money to keep to yourself.  In the Philippines, were corruption is a requirement when you enter politics, millionaires, mostly politicians, steal form the poor.  It’s a hopeless case.  I don’t think any president can change this.

Nip Slips

After the Anne Curtis nip slip on ASAP XV in Boracay, came another internet hot issue – Karylle’s nip slip/wardrobe malfunction from the same venue, ASAP XV in Boracay, is now circling over the internet.  There were photos and videos for both incidents.  You can find them on pinay scandal blogs or pinay sites, sexy pinay forums and even celebrity news sites.  What’s worse is that it’s even published on local tabloid – front page.  They are not sexy stars, although their sexy.  Their actresses, great actresses.  Their not like Paris, Lindsay or Britney whose had their eccentricities captured by paparazzi s.

Anne asked the public to be decent enough to stop sharing and posting the picture and videos.  Karylle, on the other hand, denied the photo and said it was manipulated although a video of the said incident showed her fixing her wardrobe. Nevertheless, what happened was an accident and it was just unfortunate that most of the people watching the show live was taking photos and videos for their own keeping when it happened. What comes in to play is our morality.  There may not be any law preventing a person from taking a photo or video of an event, but our conscience will be held responsible. Respect begets respect.
