More and more companies are engaging into Search Engine and Social Media Market thanks to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Multiply and other Social Networking Sites. Then there’s Google, Bing and Yahoo!. It just shows that more people consume information from social networking sites compared to traditional media. Give it a few more years and traditional media will soon be second choice. People will rather get updates on a product or service on it’s Facebook Fan Page or blog. Consumers will just go online and search for a product than look at a catalog.

KFC – Killer Facebook Contests

KFC has launched two new contests via Facebook promoting the new KFC Cheewy Cheese and KFC Creamy Tomato Pasta Bowl. KFC is giving away a Nintendo Wii, a Sony PSP and a lot of Gift Certificates.

Contest Number 1: Say Cheese!

Post your funniest face (e.g. duling, wacky, etc) and stretch the fun by winning a Nintendo Wii!
To post a photo, go to the wall of the Chewy Cheese Fan Page and upload photo.
Entries have to be original.
Entries may not be composed or edited through Photoshop.
Post as many entries as you can!
Criteria for Judging
a. Number of Votes (1 like = 1 vote) – 50%
b. Creativity – 30%
c. Humor – 20%
Promo period is from March 31 to April 30, 2010
Prizes
1st place: Wii
2nd place: PSP
3rd place: 5,000 worth of KFC GCs
4th place: 3,000 worth of KFC GCs
5th place: 2,000 worth of KFC GCs
Prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash
Winners will be announced on May 5, 2010 through the site.

Contest Number 2: 100 ways

1. Become a fan of the KFC 100 Ways Application and use it regularly – post them on your wall, make your own, and send them to your friends.

2. The more you use the application, the closer you get to win Creamy Tomato Pasta Bowl GCs!

3. Every day, there will be six (6) winners of 5 pieces Creamy Tomato Pasta Bowl GCs each.

4. The promo duration is for one month, from April 5 – May 6, 2010.

5. Winners will be announced DAILY on the KFC Pasta Bowl Fan Page.

6. Winners will also receive a notification Facebook Message on how to claim their prize.

7. To claim the GCs, simply reply to the FB Message with your name, cellphone number, and email address. Print out the FB Message thread and bring it along with your ID to Mediacom Office, 7F Lepanto Bldg, 8747 Paseo de Roxas Makati City.
