If Sullivan’s Wainwright Building in St. Louis, 1891, was the first steel-framed building and is considered by some to be the first true skyscraper. Basilica of San Sebastian, Manila, completed in 1891, it is the only all-steel church or basilica in Asia. Steel buildings are still popular today. because of it’s advantages over traditional rock/cement buildings.

More and more companies and corporations had ditched the traditional way of constructing a building and preferred steel building structures. Metal buildings are the new trend in the construction industry and here are some of the reasons:

It’s cost effective. It reduces the cost by more or less 30% compare to traditional construction practice.
It also saves ti,e. A metal building can be completed twice as fast as traditional.
Another advantage is durability. Maintenance isn’t much of an issue.
