The Red Shoes is one of the best Filipino film I’ve seen so far. It’s a Love story, but not the kind we’re used to see. It’s very different. It does not have the typical “you and me against the world” formula, or the geometrical love triangle approach. You won’t see actors crying their heart out while delivering their break up or make up lines. I’m a fan of Sarah-John Lloyd tandem and have watched and loved both their films. But this one is Different. The Red Shoes will definitely win the critics and reap some awards. A different approach to love stories. Giving it an intellectual approach with mass appeal.

The story is centered on man’s journey on learning how to let go and move forward and of course, the pair of red shoes she stole form Madame Imelda Marcos during the 1986 EDSA Revolution. The way the storyline was presented and the movie sequences made my eyes stare in to the big screen and had my ears capture every line each character delivers. Each scene had my heart long the next. The script was excellent, it’s all new and very refreshing. Cinematography is superb and it compliments the overall mood of the film.

I highly recommend you guys to watch The Red Shoes. It’s what the Philippine Movie Industry needs to win back the Filipino audiences and capture global attention.

If the future can be seen by reading someone’s palm, can you also tell someone’s future through his sole? They say that people can tell who you are, where you are or where you’re heading by the shoes you’re wearing. After watching the film, I’ll never look at my shoes the same way again.

The Red Shoes will be shown in theaters on March 10, 2010 and will have The Red Shoes for The Red Cross premiere on March 6, 2010 7pm at the Megamall.
