As Pura, Melai takes on the comedic role of a bubbly, caring, kind-hearted, very hardworking “dakilang ate” who wants nothing but only the best for her one and only beloved brother, Ulam, and uplift their dismal life. In all her endeavors, Pura’s best friend, Ruben (Jason Francisco), has always been by her side. Pura and Ruben then stumbles into a one-time big time opportunity to usher a Brazilian model who manages to escape them. With this unfortunate turn of event, Pura steps into the role … literally. She is now the model Pureza Mayriles! Basking in the promise of a better fortune plus a serendipitous love, little did Pura know that she has dragged herself into a life-threatening mess? Now running for their lives, Pura and Ruben has to detangle themselves from the dangers that faces them and how!

Melai is perfect for the role and commend Star Cinema in banking on new actors/actress on taking the lead role. Melai is naturally funny the whole Press conference were full of laughter. I was expecting a formal type but found myself laughing my heart out.

Before the press conference they stuffed us full with Max’s Chicken. Due to insistent public demand, Max’s brought chicken all-you-can back to satisfy our cravings for the best tasting fried chicken.

It was around an hour of laughter for all the attendees. Things just got serious when asked what their secret was for staying in the business. I can only name a few PBB housemates that still remains in show business. They owe their success to their fans unconditional love and support for Melason. Director Soxie had first hand experience on how they are loved by their fans. Fans that he never thought still exist. He recalls that die hard fans, fanatics or fan clubs during the local film industry’s golden years were all loyal, caring and sincere in support. He remembers seeing them in the Nora-Vilma era. It was a surprised to him to feel the same kind support from the Melason fans.
